Object Oriented Languages

The language have to support several of the OOP's (Object Oriented Programming)features to claim that they are object oriented. Depending on the features they support,they are classified into the following categories. A) Object Based Programming Languages (OBPL):- Object based programming is the style of programming that primarily supports data Encapsulation. Major features supports by Object Based Programming Languages are:- ( i ) Data Encapsulation and Object Identity. (ii) Data Hiding and access Mechanisms. (iii) Operator Overloading. (iv) Automatic initialization and clean-up of objects. Languages that support programming with objects are said to be OBPL is ADA B) Object Oriented Programming Language (OOPL): Object Oriented Programming Language supports all of ObjectBase Programming features, and additionally the following: (i) Inheritance (ii) Dynamic Binding Object Oriented Programming Language are further classified as- (a) Pure Object Oriented Languages : Object Oriented Language whose development had been object right from the beginning eg. Simula, Smalltalk, Eiffel, Java (b) Extented Object Oriented Language: Object Oriented Languages are those languages which initially existed as procedural language and were enhances in capabilities to support Object Oriented features. eg. C++, Objective 'C', Object Pascal
